Diesel

This is one of the two "Stork Ricardo" dieselengines at Bergum Powerplant.
These are used to startup the gasturbines.
So with these diesels; each of them driving a generator, it's possible to start up the units even there is a complete "Black out" and there is now power on the main grid.
This happens only very rarely, it happened in 2007 I believe, when parts of northern Europe were having a dark night.
