Jameos Del Agua

Apologies for the quality of this one. I have taken better pictures of it in the past.

It is a bit difficult due to the lighting conditions and the fact that its in a cave. The light improves usually around mid-day but unfortunately I was a bit too early.

The attraction was built by Jesus Soto and Luis Morales in 1968 from an idea by Cesar Manrique, and completed in 1987 with the construction of an auditorium.

The cave was formed by lava flow and this part is the pathway of 100 metres in length and 13 metres wide that crosses the small lake that is home to the 'jameito', tiny blind albino crabs that are unique to Lanzarote.
