While I agree with benek about fireworks, Guy Fawkes is a bad time of year for pet owners - especially if your otherwise overly confident and well balanced pets turn into quivering wrecks for the 5 days before and after November 5. Despite being hunting dogs Storm and Phoenix are really stressed by fireworks so we have two alternatives - staying at home with them (and not pandering to them - just being the calm alpha pack leaders) or putting them into a kennel on a farm in outside of Milton. This year we stayed home and Storm lay at my feet under my desk, calmer, but trembling.
