pub wall tiles flashed this at me as I passed by to my allotment early this morning - runner beans, beetroots. parsnips, cucumbers and autumn raspberries are doing well but slugs and whitefly have done their best with anything else. A month ago a badger got into my pink fir potatoes looking for duck eggs that had been buried there ... we had blight too - such are the joys of being an allotment holder
