Learning day by day

Today has been lovely. Autumn fair at my little ones pre-school followed by lunch out in town for a treat. While we were in town we found out that the parish church had opened its bell tower to the public for the first time and that they were allowing the public to try ringing the bells. So off we toddled. Luckily we had Grandparents in tow to sit with the wee one while hubby, myself and the three year old toiled up the tower. Not quite the scale of Durham Cathederal or York Minster, but that was luck as hubby had to carry the three year old back down as she got the jitters on the spiral stairs. Anyway the blip is a view of my town that I am unlikely to get the chance to get again. They tried to open the tower last year but can only do it on a Saturday when there is no weddings so it took until today for them to manage it, goodness knows when they will do it again.
