You'll Never Know What You're Missing ...

on the same theme as yesterday really, nearly delivering what I'd intended ...

Woke with a slightly fuzzy head, a little too much wine, not done that for a while. A beautiful, day, absolutely corker! We set off with my sister's photogenic dog, in the car, to the first day of the Wigtown Book Festival, just along the coast. Fabulous scenery at every turn. However, no camera!! Left it on the side in the caravan. Fuzzy head-ness - Doh!!

Wigtown's a nice little place but seems to have been designated Scotland's National Book Town because there's a few books there - not massive amounts, just a few. And because they have a festival, which is a tent. We whizzed over to Newton Stewart, another pretty little town. Then we went to Mossyard beach, a couple of little bays at the bottom of a track, with golden sand and the clearest water you could imagine - with swimmers! I'd love to have shown you how lovely it all was ...

So, back to the caravan and the camera. A whoosh of jetskiers (the correct collective noun, I think you'll find) had arrived at the bay below and kept us occupied for a while. The sun was cracking the sky and being on a jetski seemed like the perfect place to be.

You'll Never Know What You're Missing ... The Real Thing, 1977, a really good under-rated song. Lovely.
