Put away

My wedding dress (used 6 weeks ago :) arrived from the dry cleaners. It was in a box made of acid-free paper that is meant to preserve it and avoid yellowing of the fabric. The box is beautiful, with a large ribbon and fancy bow tied around it.

I know it is a waste and I should really sell it on -but I just can't bring myself to do it. Not right now anyway.

It will probably be hidden away for a long time -which is sad in one way as it really is very beautiful. But at the same time there is something enticing about the idea of having something special at the back of the closet, to one day be taken out again for who knows what reason...
