different facets

Though there were no instances of moving goalposts in the classic sense today there was one instance (at home, specifically around the goalposts mounted around the tops of the walls into which the roof tries to kick the rain) involving adjusting the quote for the repair of the goalposts after dismantling the existing goalposts and another (at work) of asking when the goalposts might be able to be built, agreeing that this information would be supplied tomorrow then issuing an email to a significant proportion of the operating division advising everyone of the apparently predetermined date of completion of the goalposts (and the subsequent attachment of the nets of analysis) despite it not having yet been agreed. Big bullies, the lot of them.

On the plus side, opting for the long way in this morning meant that I got to see all the nice misty stuff drifting nicely and coldly down the hill and past the crags. It's enough to make you want to start leaving sufficiently early to be able to stop and take some pictures of it (and particularly of people disappearing into it as they walked up the path) but that'll have to wait until tomorrow. I could go and aid this process now by going and cleaning out my flask and bottle and making some sandwiches but shall instead use the time to attempt to sleep.
