Female blackbird in the bird bath!

This female blackbird has, with her mate, taken up residence in my backyard. She is much braver than her mate and will use the bird bath even when there are people around.

Not cats though!!

She is in there several times a day. Her mate will use it but only when he thinks no one is around.

We are really enjoying watching them. Have seen them with nesting material, but haven't managed to get a shot. Looking forward to when they are feeding young.
