Ryder Cup

Our new high-definition television set showing a scene at the Ryder Cup in Wales--the umbrellas are telling. There wasn't a large amount of rain today, but there had been so much, especially on Friday, that the final twelve singles matches have been postponed until tomorrow (Monday).

The Europeans have pretty much been routing the Americans today--you can read the rest elsewhere.

I have backblipped for yesterday--the subject is a book on Simone Weil, the French mystic and philosopher,by her niece Sylvie Weil.
