Crash Of Rhino

Chester's rhinos have been rounded up and are now corralled at the racecourse ready to be auctioned off tomorrow. I had envisaged that I would manage to photograph all 53 together. However they have been laid out around three sides of a building and a couple more inside so that shot was just not possible.

So here they are all together for the last time. Some shots of the ones around the corner.

Earlier when I blipped the rhino someone posed the question "Can rhinos swim?" The answer it seems is yes and no. Black rhino can swim so usually enter water holes forwards whereas white rhinos cannot swim so often enter water holes backwards. But swimming does not form part of rhinos normal behaviour. Thanks to Chester Zoo for the answer to that one.
