A Sasanach's Skye photos

Vicious Squalls

Today is a day of bright sunshine interspersed with vicious squalls. In the squalls the wind becomes very strong; the rain becomes hail; the surface of the sea lifts; the visibility is severely reduced.

If you look closely at the photograph you may see diagonal lines on it. That's the hail.

When it is sunny it is lovely but the squalls move across Skye very quickly and it is easy to be caught out. I know because I have been. but a couple of minutes later they pass and the sun comes out again.
