Happy Birthday N!

N is the student it the dorms who is always doing the behind-the-scenes work, cleaning when no one is looking, and making preparations that others overlook. When we surprised her with this cake and singing Happy Birthday, she almost ran out of the room, but a couple good friends kept her there. She blushed, and graciously waied everyone. (The wai is the Thai way of accepting a gift, greeting someone, etc. It is done by putting your palms together in front of you, fingers pointing to the sky, sometimes accompanied by a slight bow of the head.)

Maybe this can be a little reminder for us to say thank you to some of those helpful, quiet people in our lives today. :)
