Little Robin Redbreast

Had a very lovely day today. Drove my dad and sister up to Pitlochry for a day trip.
A nice leisurely drive up in the sunshine, we arrived in Pitlochry village and the very second I parked the car, the rain started!
Thankfully it only lasted a few minutes.
We started out walking down to the Suspension bridge. On the way there we spotted this robin, a blue tit, some hedge sparrows and a greenfinch. This made my dad's day as he's quite a keen 'twitcher' We also spotted a very beautiful but very grumpy looking cat hiding in the bushes who was very nearly my Blip.
We made our way up to and over the hydroelectric power station dam and fish ladder to enjoy the scenery, then back across into the village passing by some brilliant wood sculptures (again another potential Blip contender).
Quick stop for a Greggs Sausage roll and a coffee then back on a windy road to Queen's View It was very beautiful there too, with more birdlife and a spectacular view down the River Tummel.
Finally we headed back to Edinburgh, via a scary detour along a busy single lane road to try to miss out roadworks. It was literally a journey into the unknown, with no idea where we would end up and us heading further and further into the Perthshire countryside, but we ended up back on the A9 in the end so all was well. Back to the house to pick up B then the 4 of us went to the local for a well earned Sunday dinner. I then chauffeured everyone home and now I intend to relax with a glass of wine - after nearly 200 miles driving I think I've earned it!
