Korean National Day Concert.

Went to a concert tonight that involved Korean and Azerbaijani musicians and singers - the first time I'd deliberately listened to either type of music and it was pretty good. Korean music definitely has something in common with Chinese music, while Azerbaijani music sounds like Greece meeting the Middle East. I was less sure about Azerbaijani music played on Korean instruments.... the tone/scale just didn't work for me, but otherwise it was a fun evening. Some classic lines to remember from the Azerbaijani-Korean friendship film that was shown included "the two most developing and dynamic countries in the world" and "alike in their unusual peculiarities".
