Dundee pilot

I've had this blip in my head for so long.
A long exposure, light-trace of the Dundee harbour pilot boat on the River Tay, passing Broughty Ferry

It's hard to actually plan for the pilots movements, so I just kept watching for weeks and when it's on it's way out i estimate how long it takes for it to do its job, than catch it on it's way back in. Tonight I got lucky and managed to get it with Broughty ferry, Broughty Castle, the beach and The Esplanade in the background.

it's job: The pilot boat helps big ships navigate the long shallow spit of sand at the mouth of the River Tay, in and out of the posrt of Dundee.

If you look large you can see the fine undulations in the traces from the various lights on the boat.
