'There Goes HMS Duncan'

Bumper blip, fun and a brilliant sunny day.

In the morning we went to Dragon Forest 2 for some Gruffalo hunting, then poped in to the Burrell collection. Absolutely beautiful space and magnificent exhibits. I'd forgotten how good it is there, so will probalby need to go back.

Had an emotional breakdown at a suit of armour! That of Ferdinand 1st to be exact. I have no idea who he was, but began crying while standing looking closely at the armour!!! Goodness only knows why... ..

In the afternoon we went to the launch of HMS Duncan - a Type 45 Anti-Air Warfare destroyer; built on the Clyde. It was one of the most exciting things I've ever witnessed.... .hip hip hooraying, balloons, fireworks and the amazingly loud noise of the chains holding her back - fantastic and I cried at that too! No surprise there then.
