none shall

I'm not a massive fan of groups of people walking four abreast across pavements, cycle paths or intra-Botanics-section-footpaths so it's doubly irritating when it's my own fambly. It's still blocking the path even if there's no-one immediately visible who needs to get by or no-one quite yet within range. It wouldn't be so bad on the bike path if they at least anticipated something moving faster than them approaching silently from the rear (and looked about with greater frequency) or abutted either side of the path to leave a gap at the other side rather than drifting about so that there's not enough space on either side. Yes, cyclists should have bells but some don't and shared-use paths require all users to be mindful of others, especially those of different types and thus more likely to be travelling at different speeds. Grrr. Attempting to stay behind the most path-blocking component didn't really work but on the way back everyone was slightly better-arranged and setting a better example to the de-prammed and forward-facing wingpiglet I was carrying along behind them.
