london blip #2: museums&monkeys

I think we walked about 100 miles today...well it felt like that. we walked from london bridge to westminster abbey and the kids were being very vocal about their wee legs being tired, so we taxied from there to the victoria & albert museum. by the time we got there the thought of walking round this extensive building wasn't too appealing, so we looked round the ground floor, bought some novelty items in the gift shop then headed over to the more child-friendly natural history museum. we've been there twice before, but had never made it upstairs - so we did today. it's such a huge, lovely building...for me that's the best thing about it. for the kids, it's the stuffed monkeys...

anyway, after much travelling we all met up for a lovely curry in Islington with a friend that I haven't seen for about 25 years which was ace.

aaaaand tomorrow, we go back to islington...there's a furniture reclaimation shop with my name on it. dangerous.
