'The Glow'

The night before the all day hot air balloon festival at my college, they set the balloons up beside the pond and fill them so that the fire makes them glow from within. (Then they turn them on and off to music which I think is pretty cheesy!) I got this by sitting my little point and shoot camera on the branch of a tree and exposing ti for a looong time! (I had to do it many times before I got anything that wasn't just a big blur. I didn't know this one was even usable until I played around in post (with exposure, contrast, shadows etc). Then I thought it looked more like a painting than a photo and I really like it so I'm back blipping it!
