Marvellous world

Had a work event in the ERI tonight (the European Research Institute) and very interesting it was too. All about the VISTA project, 3D visualisation and the application of technology to archaeology and heritage (part of it given by our very own Vince Gaffney, who was recently responsible with others for discovering and modelling the new Henge found at Stonehenge).

Whilst marvelling at the wonders he revealed - a whole 'earliest Neolithic' country in the North Sea, called Doggerland, for example - the University race track opposite was floodlit and full of our own wonders, utilising the facilities before Usain and his gang get here to train for the Olympics.

I mostly love the place where I work.
