Pred dvorom

Looking down past the Rector's Palace. The ground looks wet, with the light reflections muddling together - but really the surface is made from a highly polished limestone which constantly gleams. I even rolled my palm over it to see how smooth it felt - and it did - but in hindsight it may have not been a great idea to sit around inanely pawing the stomping ground of tens of thousands of dirty-booted tourists and a hoard of feral cats.

The few dots of light right at the top of the photo are from the old fort (and now cable car station) and large illuminated cross, at the top of Mount Srd - which is one of the places Yugoslav forces took a vantage point from when besieging Dubrovnik in the early 1990s.
