Status dog

A bit more street photography today!

There is a societal trend right now for so called 'status dogs'.

Status dogs are dogs that look (or occasionally are) vicious & hard (or are fighting dogs) as these convey a supposed status on their owners much like a fast car purchased by a middle aged man (although to the educated eye it's just an outward sign of an inward insecurity of the owner. Sometimes big car or dog = small penis).

Its a sad fact that a lot of these dogs end up having to be destroyed by the RSPCA as their owners often cannot handle or train the animals adequately and so vast numbers are put down & incinerated.

This is symptomatic of a deeper disease of our X factor generation characterised by kids continually asking 'who are you?' or 'who are they?' meaning status rather than name.

A society obsessed with fame, money, status & celebrity will forever be an unhappy one as only a tiny minority will ever achieve these shallow goals.

Until people realise that status is unimportant & that they already are 'somebody' rather than striving for the empty goal of fame & trying to be 'somebody' we will be doomed to unhappiness.
