Spoilt Cakes

Arrived at Salisbury in good time for the rugby tournament. For once the sun was shinning and it was a lovely day (even warm!) Salisbury matches and tournaments are normally characterised by wet, windy cold days!

Just before the tournament began, this Lynx helicopter landed on the top pitches. The pilot made a good low circuit of the grounds before he landed; his tail wind caused the cake table to blow over and all the beautifully made cakes went flying! It was a very funny sight, but a real shame, as a huge amount of effort had gone into making all these cakes.

It was not our day. Play neither flowed nor gelled. Andover played four matches, lost four matches.....

John had an equally frustrating day at home trying to dog proof the garden! He bought some wire at £20 (the cheaper option), which he tested in the shop - bent it, pulled it, took it home and installed it! The hound was let out and within minutes had escaped. He chewed his way through it! A second purchase of the more expensive wire, and it seems we are secure .... for now
