Fisherman's Friend

Today's walk was up by Dunkeld.

Just north of the town there are some great woodland walks, with some quite spectacular lochs and wildlife.

The last time I was here was way back in the 90s when I had the time to career round the forest on a mountain bike. Today's trip was much more sedate, with just Mrs T and Breagha.

Like I said some of the wildlife was spectacular. We saw cows, crows, a jay, a pheasant (flushed out by Breagha), numerous deer (sika we think), a red squirrel, a pike(that the anglers caught) and a mackerel.

Yes, a mackerel! That would be the one that Breagha stole out of the angler's bait bag. She managed to eat one whole, before we caught her with the second one. She did look quite comical running along the loch-side, ears flapping and a 6 inch fish dangling out of her mouth. Naughty dog!
