Lac de Chambon

I've been away for a few days visiting friends who have a cottage near Eguzon, north of Limoges. The countryside is made up of rolling hills and river valleys, sprinkled with old villages and lakes, and was once part of an enormous forest.
Eguzon is not too far away from this Lac de Chambon which was created by damming the River Creuze. As you can see the lake is a centre for watersports which was definitely no longer happening, being the end of the season. Everything was closed.
