Lasers

I'd forgotten that Corin had a laser thingummibob for getting levels right - there are no wonky shelves in this house. This was being used to get the level spot on for the new wall mounted bedside lamps. The room is almost done. Wardrobes are up - just waiting for the sliding doors to be in stock on Thursday. I have clothes in the bedroom so I don't have to crawl into the cupboard at the top of the stairs to find a jumper, or the office to find my undies, or James room to find my work clothes. It's all there. Oh, happy days.

When all the finishing touches are done, it will be fabulous. Corin has done such a wonderful job. In the process to day, he has caused me to laugh out loud at his interpretation of the IKEA instruction booklet

It was a silent night last night. As I predicted.

James has been out and about on his bike, gadding around, tootling off to his friend's house. Mr Independant. Then this evening, after roast dinner, then homework, he has been watching "The Beatles" cartoons on YouTube. He particularly likes "Day Tripper" - because he is learning to play it on guitar. Once off to bed though, he reverts to being a little boy - all bundled up in his duvet, 3 fleece blankets and about 20 teddy bears on his bed, with a lion toy "guarding the steps".

3 more get ups, then half term. 1 week today...a blipmeet in far away lands.
