A snack at the Trolley Car Diner

"Milkshake, rattle and roll" is the motto of this drop-in diner in the Mount Airey district of Philadelphia. It's named after an old trolley car that serves an ice-cream kiosk alongside and the walls are hung with classic movie posters.

Usually I'm overwhelmed by the mound of food I find have inadvertently ordered in these places but this time my choice of corned beef hash with a simple side salad was exactly right. And naturally the coffee mug is refilled as many times as you like. Perfect!
