Autumn Arrives

First of many fall foliage photos... the swirl effect was achieved by using a long exposure and spinning the camera on the lens' axis. Takes a little practice, but you can get some fun results..

Although I miss my native California tremendously, one of the pleasures of living in Washington is the annual display of fall colors. I go a little nuts with the turning of the leaves and shoot an exorbitant amount of images in October and November.

It's as if I am instinctively preparing for the long, dreary, and colorless winter...
