Eric Blocks A Shot

Eric leaps off the ground and blocks an opponent's shot during today's soccer match.

These soccer Blips are always late because I am capturing over 300 images per match with two or three cameras. Add in the occasional video and the editing can take a couple of hours. However to capture peak action, you have to do three things:

1) Know the sport (I'm still working on that with soccer football)
2) Anticipate the action BEFORE it happens.
3) Shoot continuously before, during, and after, the peak moment.

4) BONUS TIP: Minimize "chimping" lest you miss the next big moment.
