Church of the Beer

Being dad of 2 young girls I don't get to spend much time in pubs drinking nice beer. Perhaps the most regular time is the odd lunch time at work.

This is the Pheonix in Dundee. A rather fine pub that serves a good selection of cask beer. Today two Yorkshire men sat and drank good Yorkshire beer and felt like a small part of Yorkshire in a corner of Dundee. Tomothy Taylors Dark Mild, perfect for a work lunch time.

The Pheonix is famous for being a rather dark pub and back when smoking was allowed, it was often thick with smoke. Today with the sun streaming in through the high windows, the smoke would have helped this blip :)
