Break

I saw this man perched on a metal beam, taking the world in with his eyes, seemingly deep in thought. I wanted to take a photo, but unfortunately, I have nothing longer than a 55mm lens, so being inconspicuous wasn't much of an option. Rather than simply firing away, I waited until I caught his attention and gestured from my camera to him as a way of asking permission. He continued to look at me, or look through me for what seemed like a long time. He then stoically nodded his head with the slightest movement imaginable to signal assent and turned back to look forward.
