Morning Shadows

This morning was the first time I noticed this set of shadows in our new bedroom; we moved a month ago, and we have two windows letting in the morning sun, but until now I had only noticed the shadows from the other (much less interesting).

The distortion at the edges of the hand's shadow is striking here--I'll have to show it to my friend who is teaching the course on light and optics.

I'm always fascinated with such shadows, but this is only my second such blip--the first is here, with a bit of a personal story.
