Pork Chop in a pet shop

Entered a pet shop for a browse - as one does - to be confronted by the sight of two young men choosing a harness for a pet piglet, with a great deal of squealing (on the part of the pig, I mean.)
The little creature, about a foot long, had been purchased from California, we heard, and flown into Philadelphia via Newark (I wonder if there's a special lounge for porcine stopovers?) Named (rather heartlessly) Pork Chop, the miniature pig is being readied for life as a companion animal - one that's free from the allergenic properties of the furry variety. Only in America!
