The Saklikent Gorge

This was an utterly amazing day. The gorge, now a Unesco heritage site, is the second biggest in Europe and because we were there in low season there were very few other people. It was muddy and slippy underfoot and the water was sometimes thigh high. There are some 15km to explore, but we had to make do with just a few as it became too deep and difficult for Harvie. We managed around 1hour 45min with Harvie having a piggy back through the more difficult sections. The other main Blip option was from the Roman ruins at nearby Tlos. These include an amazing amphitheatre and fortress built into a mountainside. For much of our visit we were the only people there, left alone to explore and climb.
