Grant Lake

This is a little lake nestled in a county park by the name of Grant Ranch County Park. It's in the Hamilton Range of mountains along the confluence of the Hayward and Calaveras Faults. The lake serves as a wetland and water source for a variety of local wildlife.

This shot was taken a few minutes before it started raining hard. It didn't seem to bother the Cormorant located on a small outcrop of reeds on the left-hand side. This is the beauty of California rolling oak woodland and wetlands.

Enjoy!
