Simplicity

I got up late only because it was absolutely necessary for me to, otherwise could have slept all throughout. Had a quick breakfast(bordering on brunch) and watched the Apocalypse Now .

Loved the direction, it is very intellectual and deeply philosophical to say the least. You could find all the Superstars of last decade in the movie. Looking completely different and absolutely in their raw style of acting. Maybe for some it was their first movie. It is about the backdrop of the Vietnam war and how a Captain is going on a journey to assassinate another officer who has been convicted of taking matters in his own hands.
The movie is 3 hours +, and I was half way through it when S called me to go for some lawn tennis. I really jumped to the idea and started off from home after taking a quick shower. I had to pick him up from Cyber Towers. I don't know but to me there is nothing cyber about most of the buildings which have Cyber before their names. One builder here has actually gone all out and named the residential property as Alien Space Station I & II. What a utter waste of creativity in providing names...

We reached Aparna County - Beautiful gated community, as soon as I stepped inside the horrendous traffic and chaos of the city was left far far behind. The villas were lined up perfectly. Even the lush green trees were lined up in rows. The property has adjoining lakes on either sides - Making it a beautiful location. Though they are called lakes, looked more like water holes maybe small ponds.

The tennis court had a dilapidated net, cracked and hard concrete. The balls were bouncing ferociously. It being the first day after a long time, A & S both were helping me with the basics. It was very nice to learn something which is so graceful. Today is the first time I was able to appreciate the endurance and stamina the tennis players have. This game needs lots of anticipation and control, needless to mention that it is highly exhausting. I guess it is exhausting for the ball boys as well. We didn't have any so extra work. By the time we finished, the body was definitely couple of degrees warmer, sweat was just coming all over. The veins were throbbing and the heart was pumping ever so fast. We actually wanted to take a dip in the adjoining swimming pool but the hunger pang had already started. We thanked A and left. On the way found a good restaurant, Had a pint of beer and hogged on the food. Should have gained back all the calories we burnt.

A Sunday well spent! :-) Simple but lots of Fun.
