Was It Really So Long Ago

When You Wish Upon a Star

By lunchtime, we'd driven to Ashford, Eurostarred (trust me it's a genuine verb) to Paris and walked to the Disneyland Park.

The weather was grey, cold and dry. We dined extravagantly on burger and chips. We returned outside in time to find it raining! We'd confidently left raincoats at the station to be forwarded to the hotel. No worries, let's go and buy some Disney raincoats, they'll be reasonably priced and it's a long walk to the hotel. After a long period negotiating an extension to the mortgage, we ventured outside to discover - you've guessed it - the rain had stopped. That's about all we saw of it for the rest if the weekend too. A worthwhile insurance policy at least.

As the rain had stopped, I snapped this shot of Sleeping Beauty's castle - a beacon in pink, dominating the park.

I hope you like it.
