Many Leaves to Rake ...

Today saw perfect Indian Summer weather: warm, sunny and full of the fragrance of fallen autumn leaves--my blip objective. The height of color seems a bit past, but gorgeous scenes are still everywhere to be found.

We're in Amherst, Mass., across the Connecticut River from our home, on a quiet side street, with a multitude of untouched leaves on the ground. (Many areas are afflicted by lawn services that pounce on leaves practically as they fall, with blowers that reverberate through the neighborhood.)

This was the best scene I found, with a bonus just visible on the right (view her LARGE): a woman who appeared to be actually raking the leaves (she has a daunting task ahead of her).

I also went by our new house that is under construction--real progress has been made since yesterday's blip, which you can see on a new blipfolio folder that I have just started.
