Bad news: - Mother Nature can be a bitch sometimes

A lot happened on the world stage today that caused me to shake my head but this story hits home because I can't imagine what it would be like; being in the middle of a natural event so violent and dangerous that it could claim your life. We have been allowed to prosper and spread as a species because of the mild and temperate climate of our planet and when an occasional natural disaster hits, it always seems like a surprise.

Good-for-you-even-if-you're-too-young-and-stupid-to-realise-it-yet news: - A no-brainer

You can't buy alcohol on campuses, so why was this abomination of a beverage allowed in the first place? That said-if a young person is stupid enough to consume a drink that could make them ill, I say: let them. Most of us went through that stage and were lucky to come out at the other end with nothing but a few million less brain cells. George Bernard Shaw had it right.
