Concentric circles

Of all the birds on the pool, it's the coots which are most likely to make beautiful circles.

I am quite fond of the coots - they are the liveliest on the water, dashing to and fro and dipping their heads under water for what they can find.

The birds are so used to being fed that they all swim towards the shore as soon as you start to approach (makes me feel guilty when all I have is the camera). The coots are always the first to arrive.

oh, and I forgot to mention their squeaky little voices!
