Doozers playing ping pong

On my lunchtime wander today I walked past a group of builders playing ping pong on their lunchbreak. They were having great fun and had a few folk in suits watching them while dining on sandwiches.

The tables have popped up all over London during the summer and seem to be still around. Maybe I'll be brave enough to venture to play on one at some point before they're taken away for winter hibernation. I'm quite rubbish at this sport, though.

For an extra bit of interest, the white arched building you can see just behind the hedge behind the ping pong is York House Watergate where the bank of the River Thames used to be until the 1840s, before the river was narrowed. Read more about the Watergate here.
