Why Did The Duck Cross The Road?

Stopped off at Grange Over Sands on the way home from the Lakes. Can recommend afternoon tea at the Hazelmere Cafe and Bakery. Just across the road are the Ornamental Gardens which boast a fine collection of waterfowl. Can anyone help identify the ones crossing the road? Not a Pelican crossing is it?
