Ewart Library

This is the Ewart Library in Dumfries. Scene of Scotland's first cyber centre and called after William Ewart, a local MP who sponsored the first UK public library legislation in 1850. Scottish legislation didn't follow until 1853. This library is a Carnegie one opened in 1904 and I recall with joy the centenary celebrations
