Autumn in St Ives Estate

It's back to being strapped to the desk today with the dreaded marking but I took a break to pop down to the garden centre to get some flowers for a friend who has just lost her mum, thinking of you V.

Surprisingly, the wind of yesterday has not taken down the remaining leaves in the Estate and I thought this view rather fine. The grass in the fields below the wood has remained green due to the mild, warm spell we have been experiencing. Having been in New England in the last week, the difference between their Fall and our Autumn colours appears to be a lack of red beech trees and bright yellow leaves in our local woodland.
