The Dripping Tap

On the tap-end a
A water droplet is forming
Imperceptibly -
Its tiny globe glistening
And its meniscus
Starting to stretch under the
Weight of its water -
But for this brief moment it
Hangs defiantly
Above the sink's hard steel -
Lit up like molten metal.
