Family Room

A while ago we thought about changing some of the rooms round in our house. We don't live in a big house - having only a front room and kitchen/diner plus artic bathroom downstairs, whilst we all have enormous bedrooms (14ft square) on two floors, and with my piano and cello, Chris' sax, Lou's violin the front room is crowded and not really a room to chill/play in. So we had the idea of throwing the children in together and splittling the room at the back into a nice warm bathroom, plus a 'Family Room'.

Me being ever so practical said why don't we try it before we have walls built, plumbing moved etc, so we did over the October half term. It works and it works well. The children find they have enough room in their rooms (currently divided by a sheet of plaster board and with tape to show where the walls will be!) and we find we are in the Family Room loads. It gets used for homework, sewing, watching tv, jigsaws, reading and lounging in. Guess the work starts next year!
