Lantern-style light

The afternoon shadows make this photo a bit too dark, but I liked the unevenness of the glass in the lantern, and the beautiful autumnal setting. This was taken in the spectacular grounds of Lennoxlove House, near Haddington in Scotland. The house itself dates back to the 1300s and is owned by the Duke of Hamilton. At 460 acres, the grounds provide a gorgeous, tranquil spot in which to enjoy the final show of colour before winter's bare branches appear.
