Kym sailing up the Clyde

One of our volunteers sailing on the East End Endeavour up the Clyde, this is part of the Voyage of Dreams project.

The project will enable the organisation to link with relevant youth organisations across the West of Scotland to deliver a project that will provide opportunities for beneficiaries to learn new transferable skills through sailing. The initiative will consist of 15 seven day `legs' with five young people from each of the five participating areas working towards the RYA Competent Crew Certificate. The voyage will provide them with new transferable skills that will assist them in entering employment, education or training on returning to their own communities.

The Voyage of Dreams is now a finalist for The People's Millions.

The People's Millions is a partnership between Big Lottery Fund and ITV, where the public decides which local community projects get up to £50,000 of Lottery funding.
