Cornflake rooster

Another damp and drizzly, misty, murky day in West Wales. The brightest thing around was Caruso, the Welsummer cockerel - just like the one on the Kellogg's cereal packets.
He's growing into his new tail following the autumn moult, and behind him are two of his wives, Griselda and Gretel. Griselda is a Bluebell hybrid layer and Gretel is a Araucana hen whose eggs are pale blue. She did have a mate called Hansel but he disappeared into the great unknown (aka a fox's stomach) and Caruso was his replacement. So far, so good.
